I have been having thoughts of trimming down lately. I think I now belong to the obese category if I'm going to calculate my body mass index. I know that I should loose weight because it is not healthy anymore but I just couldn't resist eating! I know that I should loose weight if I want to get pregnant but I just can't stop munching every sweet desserts that caught my eyes. I'm trying the no carbo after 6pm. Hope I make this one work!

We attended HIV seminar today. It was a very informative seminar since HIV and AIDS are very relevant today. Statistics shown that there's an increasing number of infected people and Davao got the second slot next to metro manila. This is not a joke and everybody must take this seriously. To break the seriousness and to kill the time, the speaker gave us some personality quiz. We had so much fun and we discovered something that we never thought of about ourselves.

Back to work today, woke up early but end up late. I was 7 minutes late! my first late for november. Was kind of bad tripped but had to let it pass. It was partly my fault. Anyways, I went to PICU where I was scheduled to report as reliever. We only had 2 patients and thank God they have stable vital signs even though their are both intubated. I was with one picu staff and one trainee. At around 8 am i received a phone call from the senior nurse of one of wards where I was working, she told me to attend the policy making session since our senior was on leave. I left PICU and went to the library where the session is. Head nurses of all the department of Mindanao Heart Center were there plus our supervisor. The session was kind of heavy and very tiring. Policy making is indeed not an easy thing to do for a junior staff like me. But on the other hand, I enjoyed the day, I learned a lot from the experience, plus we were treated for lunch by our supervisor. The session was fruitful in a way, another session will be considered since most of the units were just halfway through.

Monday night was the best! Had dinner with popsie at wings and dip. It was a dream come true because I have been craving for pasta since morning. Wings and Dips is situated at Mabini St., here in Davao City. It's a small place but cozy and conducive for eating. Their main specialty is Buffalo Wings! yum! yum!yum! They offer combo meals that are of reasonable prices. I ordered the meal with Buffalo wings with garlic flavor plus blue cheese dip with hungarian pasta and a side dish of mashed potato, Pops got honey barbeque flavored wings with mustard dip, bolognese pasta and a side dish of corn and carrots. We were contented with what we ate that we left the place super full.

While we were on our way to church we saw this rainbow. What a delightful site to see, so refreshing in the eyes. Its quite short, may just 1/4 of the arc, but hey! doesn't matter, its not everyday that we see rainbows right? here's a shot of it....

Ronald and I went to attend the civil rights of the union of my high school friend chin and his partner ae. It was indeed a very memorable event. All the people who went there were wearing a smile of affirmation that indeed love rules in the heart of the couple. The place was elegantly decorated with pink and red flowers and was serenaded with a band with an exemplary voice. For me it was a one classy evening, not exaggerated, just perfect….. While waiting for our food to be served, I grabbed the chance to take some pictures of the flowers at our centerpiece…. I got an interesting shot that reflected Ronald’s face in the mirror. As a promise, I’ll exclusively use my cell phone’s camera…. So here it is…

Today marks the day when my friend, chin, will finally the knot and say "i do" to his prince charming. Wishing them a lifetime full of love and happiness. It's just so amazing how to people met and eventually fell in love. The love story of this friend of mine is one unique love story and it just proves that if things are meant to be it will eventually happen no matter how long the wait is! Hi there! It’s Duty mode for me now. Sigh! This is the time when everybody else is asleep and we, nurses, have to stay up to watch over and care for our patients. Fortunately our other patient was transferred to another unit yesterday afternoon; we are now caring for one CABG patient. Still at critical state as he has just entered on his first 24-hour immediate post-op. Though his vital signs are fair and stable but we don’t want to be complacent about it because anytime our patient could go on arrhythmia. As much as we would want to doze off, sad to say we can’t. Maybe I’ll just have to wait a few more hours before hitting the sack. That’s it for now. Ciao!

ECG for Generalists

I was one of the fortunate ones who was able to attend this prestigious seminar. The Seminar was conducted by the Philippine Heart Association. The lecturers were the best cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons of Davao City. We were taught the basics of ECG interpretation and other factors that could cause alterations on the ECG tracings of patients with cardiac problems. I might say it was one hell of an experience, I'm not confident enough to read tracing but I can say that I'm gradually loving ECG!

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency is a hereditary disorder that may cause hemolytic anemia to the person expose to fava. Two of my co-nurses' babies were diagnosed to have g6pd and its becoming more popular nowadays. This disorder is detected during newborn screening, so it is rightfully to subject every newborn to this test in order to prevent exacerbation of the disorder by having necessary precautions on the food intake of the newborns.

I have looked into some of the symptoms of this disorder from WIKIPEDIA

Prolonged neonatal jaundice, possibly leading to kernicterus (arguably the most serious complication of G6PD deficiency)
Hemolytic crises in response to:
- Illness (especially infections)
- Certain drugs (see below)
- Certain foods, most notably broad beans
- Certain chemicals
- Diabetic ketoacidosis
Very severe crises can cause acute renal failure....

that's all i can say!!!!! my friends and I were supposed to leave for manila for a 3-day vacay but unfortunately we need to report to duty because we had 2 OR cases. We can't do anything about it but to cancel our trip and go on duty. What made it worst was that after we were able to discharge our patient from the unit, we were advised to report to other ward for no reason at all. So ruthless!!!!

My friend grace is planning to tie the knot soon! We get all very excited about it. She asked me I could help her with the details. We looked specifically on preferred dates, preferred reception venue, the church and who will be included in their entourage. It was not easy planning on this stuffs with out any guide. Still, we tried to take things one at a time. We came up with a motif and theme. From that, we were able to look into as to what they wanted their over all wedding to look like. September 2, 2002 was very memorable for me and noy. It was the start of our journey together. Like any young couples out there, we also had our share of ups and downs. We argue on things, we disagree over each other's point of view, we appreciate each others achievements and support each others decision. It never a seamless relationship but an imperfectly perfect one. This indifferences and understandings lasted us until we finally tied the knot last December of 2008, Now, 8 years later, here we are, still journeying together, trying to get the hang of each others imperfections and I'm proud to say that with the help of God, we were strong as ever!

I went to my night shift duty last night feeling well and hyped. I received the endorsement together with PICU charge nurse, Henry. At around 9pm my tummy began to complain.. I'm hungry, I didn't not had my dinner yet. So I asked my friend chin and jr to buy us a dinner. They bought corned beef and egg. Henry, as the host of PICU, offered to cook the food. Because I'm dead hungry, I suggested to him not to overdo the eggs since the corned beef is hot, it will be cook eventually. We ate till there almost nothing left on the plate. We were satisfied. Comes 11 o'clock in the evening, I suddenly felt difficulty in breathing and was having dry cough. I right there and then concluded that i was having an allergic reaction because I have already experienced the symptoms in the past. I asked our resident physician to check on me, she said, I just need to rest and let my body recover. So I did. Henry let me sleep for a fews hours but when I woke up, the symptoms didn't subside and this time I was feeling cold and feverish. Chin brought me to the er, had my laboratories and was advised to rest for 5 days. When I reached home, I took my prescribed meds and slept the whole day. Was feeling feeling alot better the day after but i thought I could use the 5 day rest given to me, so I took a leave of absent from work.

Today marks the day when my friend Orville and Darryl unite their hearts as one in the altar of the Lord. I don't mind coming from a night duty and going straight to hotel where we are going to be made up for the wedding. I was extremely excited for this day. I get to see old friends and bond with them like the way we used to. I'm so excited to see Orville walking down the aisle and him singing while waiting for his bride... Oh sooooo romantic! This morning I went out to buy gift for my friend's baby shower and deposit some cash. My friend Chin and I bought a mini bath tub for the baby. Then next stop was to supposedly deposit the money around 9k to the bank. as i was preparing the envelop for deposit, unknowingly my wallet got picked-pocket! I didn't know what to do! I was in shocked, couldn't decide! Chin, initiated to talk to the security but they can't do anything as of the moment! We to the nearest police station to report what had happened and all they said was to let us know if they were able to get hold of my stuffs. I was so dismayed with system that we headed home with out a word. Inside my wallet was my driver's license, my prc license, credit cards, atm cards, cedula, parking ticket, and many more!!!! aarggghhhh!!!!! Will follow up everything next week! im keeping my fingers crossed.... hoping that there are still some good-hearted people who will return my stuff. pray for me!

Jellyfish

My first encounter with jellyfish was when we were in Ocean Park, Hongkong. I was amazed the different species there are. During my trip in Zamboanga, in one of the beaches there, I get to see a giant jellyfish in close proximity, the natives of the place were used to seeing this one the shore especially if it is a "big waves" day. and my oh my, they victimized one the children swimming, I presumed it was very painful as the tentacles leaves marks all over the child's body. It was also at that time that i learned that jellyfish are edible. The natives use this as their
"pulutan" during their drinking sessions. Below is the actual picture of the jellyfish.

It was a long planned vacation.... 5 days off from work???? I super like!!!! Ronald and I will be going home to his parent's place, Ipil, Zamboanga. It will be a long trip, an airplane ride for 1 hour and 15 minutes then a bus ride for 3 hours before finally reaching his home. So excited to see her niece and nephews and may be hit the beach before we go back here in Davao. Can't wait for this trip!!!! June, come...please be quick!

I have always been a fan of trade shows and things that interest me most are the ones you see inside the home. I personally without any doubt by items from the trade shows that are of household use. I am also eyeing for some products that would help beautify our home, like for example at present, we have just finished putting up our floor tiles and my husband and I agreed to use carpet to put accent on our floor. I look into some trade show flooring and trade show carpet. I was so amazed to see various designs and different combination there is. I also checked into the website's logo mats for our rooms and logo canopy for our garden and patio. Indeed the online trade shows was a big help especially that they are highly specialize in home beautification or enhancement. Banana Cake with a twist of Hazel Nut

Ingredients:
Banana cream:
· 3/4 pound very ripe bananas , cut into 1-inch chunks
· 3/4 cup whole milk
· 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
· 1 tsp. unflavored gelatin
· 1/2 cup sugar
· 1 Tbsp. and 1 tsp. cornstarch
· 1/8 tsp. salt
· 3 large egg yolks
· 1 cup heavy cream , cold
· 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter , cut into pieces
Hazelnut brittle:
· 1/2 cup hazelnuts
· 1/2 cup sugar
Hazelnut crunch:
· 1/2 recipe hazelnut brittle
· 1 cup hazelnut paste
· 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
· 3/4 tsp. salt
· 3 cups crisp rice cereal
Cake:
· 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
· 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
· 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
· 3/4 tsp. salt
· 12 Tbsp. (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter , at room temperature
· 2 cups sugar
· 2 large eggs , at room temperature
· 1 pound very ripe bananas , mashed
· 1 cup buttermilk
· 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Hazelnut frosting:
· 1/2 cup hazelnut praline paste
· 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter , at room temperature
· 2 Tbsp. confectioners' sugar
· Pinch of salt
Chocolate hazelnut ganache:
· 1/2 cup hazelnut praline paste
· 4 ounces Gianduja chocolate , coarsely chopped
· 3 Tbsp. good-quality hot fudge sauce
· 1/8 tsp. salt
· 1/2 cup heavy cream , cold
For assembly:
· 1/3 cup whole milk
Directions: Note: Gianduja (a hazelnut-flavored chocolate) and hazelnut praline paste are sold at lepicerie.com. The first 9 steps can be done in advance.To make banana cream: Combine bananas, 1/2 cup milk, and lemon juice in a food processor; process until smooth. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over remaining 1/4 cup milk.Whisk sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a medium saucepan. Whisk in banana mixture, egg yolks, and 1/4 cup heavy cream until smooth and well blended. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly with a heatproof rubber spatula. Reduce heat to low and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in butter and reserved gelatin mixture and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly, to dissolve gelatin. Pour mixture into a bowl and set in a larger bowl of ice water; stir occasionally until cool.Whip remaining 3/4 cup cream just until stiff. Fold into banana mixture. Cover and refrigerate until cold, about 2 hours.To make hazelnut brittle: Preheat oven to 350°. Spread hazelnuts on a rimmed baking sheet; bake 12 to 15 minutes until toasted. Remove from oven and immediately rub nuts with a clean dish towel to remove as much of skins as possible; let cool. Spray another baking sheet with nonstick spray; set aside.In a small saucepan, heat sugar over medium heat, swirling pot occasionally, until sugar melts and is amber in color. Stir in hazelnuts to coat with caramel, and pour onto prepared baking sheet. Spread nuts in a single layer with fork; let cool.To make hazelnut crunch: In a food processor, grind half of hazelnut brittle to a powder.In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, beat powder, hazelnut paste, confectioners' sugar, and salt until blended. Add rice cereal and beat until blended.To make cake layers: Adjust 2 oven racks to divide oven into thirds. Preheat oven to 325°. Grease three 10" x 2" round cake pans. Line bottoms with parchment. Grease paper and dust pans with flour; tap out excess. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, beat butter until creamy. Gradually pour in sugar; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Add bananas, buttermilk, and oil; blend until combined. Add flour mixture and beat on low speed until blended. Divide batter between prepared pans and spread evenly. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center of cakes comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes. Let cakes cool in pans 10 minutes. Run a knife around sides of pans and turn cakes onto racks. Remove parchment paper; let cool.To make hazelnut frosting: In a small bowl, beat hazelnut paste, butter, confectioners' sugar, and salt until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until firm enough to spread, about 15 minutes.To make chocolate hazelnut ganache: In a medium bowl, combine hazelnut paste, chocolate, fudge sauce, and salt. Microwave on medium for 60 seconds, stirring after 30 seconds. Remove and stir until chocolate is melted. Gradually whisk in cream until blended. Cover and refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour.Right before assembling, set bowl with ganache in a larger bowl of ice water and beat with a handheld mixer until ganache is fluffy and thick enough to spread.To assemble cake: Place 1 cake layer on a cake stand or serving plate; brush top with whole milk. Spread with half the ganache. Sprinkle evenly with half the hazelnut crunch. Spoon half the banana cream over top and spread evenly. Repeat layering once, then top with last cake layer (brush top with milk), and spread the top with hazelnut frosting. Refrigerate cake at least 1 hour, covered loosely with plastic wrap. To serve, break remaining hazelnut brittle into small pieces and arrange on top of cake.

In the catholic faith, the church begins the celebration during the Easter Vigil Mass which takes place on a saturday night, the night before easter. The gloria is again sung and the use of alleluia in the gospecl acclamation songs and other liturgical songs is now permitted.In the dawn of easter, people would wake up as early as 4 in the morning to join in what the filipinos called the Salubong... This significant event is made even more divine when little angels grace the morning with their angelic voices singing heavenly praises. Holy mass follows and for some churches activities like easter egg hunting is being held. The TRIDUUM celebration may be a yearly routine but for catholics it is a renewal of one's faith.

Good Friday is the anniversary of the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Station of the cross took place at early dawn then at around 12 noon, a live sharing of the Seven Last words of Jesus Christ which in the Philippines can be watch or heard over the television and radio stations respectively. At around 3pm, the veneration of the cross took place. It is when a wooden cross was brought inside the church and the mass goers would line up and kiss or venerate the cross. A procession follows then a visit of what suppose to be Jesus wake happened. By dying on the cross, Jesus proved to us of God's great love for us.... so for me, Good Friday is LOVE day!

Holy thursday or Maundy thursday for catholics is the institution of the Eucharist. Meaning to say it was when Jesus had his last supper with his apostles and the it is when the breaking of the bread happened. During Holy Thursday or the last supper, the washing of the feet happened. At present, a reenactment of the washing of the washing of the feet was done after the priest says his homily. Twelve parishoners was chosen to act as the twelve apostle and have their foot wash by the presiding priest. This significant event reflects Jesus humility. Like Christ, may we humble ourselves before man and most especially before God.

My friend is leaving soon and my co-nurses and I planned for some despedida party for her. Liezl rented the venue for us and all other things and specific details were delegated among our group. We went early to decorate the venue, prepare the food and clean the place. Other invited guest arrived at around 5 in the afternoon. The place was completely jammed pack during dinner time. After dinner, soda and hard drinks were served. Everybody was having a blast! It was 12 midnyt when we hit the pools. We plunged for about 30 minutes and freshened up. We went to bed at ar0und 4 am after almost everybody was down with alcohol. Indeed it was nice way to send off our dear friend to the next phase of her life. im sure she will never forget that very day when she literally threw up all she took in during dinner.

Just heard one unexpected news...my friend liezl will be leaving for the states soon.... very soon that what we all expected. She will have her last duty tomorrow and starting March, she's officially out of our hospital. Unfortunate Accident

I received a phone call from my friend who is a nurse working at the emergency room of the hospital where i was working. She told me that my cousin obtained 5 gunshot wounds and is going to under stat operation. I could not believe what I heard.... 5 shots? He's so lucky to be alive then.
I visited him after my duty and mind you he is as pale as a paper. He needs blood transfusion. He was having a difficult time breathing and is too weak to exert effort in breathing. We process the things needed prior to transfusion plus purchased the needed antibiotics and nebulization. After almost a week at the ICU he was discharged to the ward. Thank God he is now out of danger....

last february 14, the mindanao heart center celebrated its 3rd year anniversary and for the first time, we held a sportsfest. Our group was divided into 3 each with an assigned color. We had a motorcade/convoy going to our very nice venue, the palos verde country club. We had cheering competition and bowling tournament in the morning. The lunch at the riverside was refreshing enough to hype us in the badminton and basketball tournment in the afternoon. All in all it a fun-filled day! can't wait what's in store for next year celebration

it was 4 in the morning when someone called....it didn't came into me first so i asked her to repeat what she had just said. This time i heard her loud and clear....Lola aya passed away.... it was never a surprise as we were already primed by her attending physicians that she only has days to live so we might as well make the most out of it. Just that night before she left us, we were planning on getting private nursing attendants who will take care of her during night time. we came into an agreement and finalized the matter. But it seems that lola was not amiable with our plan because she had her last breath at around 3 to 4 am. Our family is in deep sorrow because we will surely miss her but in a way we are celebrating because she will no longer be suffering. Thanks Lola... you will forever be loved

Last year, we had our garage and veranda done. The garden is almost complete. Next stop...Arranging our furniture! Yippee! It's Christmas time once again!!!! I'm so happy that my brother from manila came over to celebrate christmas with us. It felt just like the good ol' days.... those days when we were still young and we would gather around the table to have our noche buena. A little sad because my hubby went home to zamboanga to celebrate christmas with his mother. We had our usual exchanging of gifts. I got a wallet from my sister and a purse from my soon-to-be sister-in-law, Sue. Ronald surprise with a gift that he left under our christmas tree before he went home to zamboanga. It was a watch, an elegant yet simple watch, the very thing I want for christmas.... Thanks byngks! We had our yearly reunion last night and it was a blast! Everybody was having fun with the food, games and gift giving sessions! Indeed christmas for us is something to look forward to every year.

In the past few months that I am away from the blogging world, I have been seeing my doctor. My husband and I wants to have a baby now. I submitted myself for a series of tests and exams and found out that I have a polycystic left ovary. It means to say that my egg cells don't mature well that is why it can't be fertilize. I have been taking medications since, just to help my egg cell mature and my cycle in regular pattern. It has been very difficult for us because we really wanted a baby and yet I conceive one as of now. We're praying and hoping that everything will turn out that way we expect is after the treatment.

Who says that fairy tales don't always have a happy ending? For me they will always have a happy ending if we are going to make it one. As a little girl, stories of Princesses like Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are my all time favorite. I watch the original cartoon almost everyday. Well that is one story per day as my mom and dad would freak out that I'm always in front of the television.
Growing up, I learn to appreciate the stories of these fairy tales in its deeper sense. My fondness on these princesses grew even more. This time I pictured out what my future prince charming would be? Silly and childish right? But that was the start of my eagerness and interest in wedding.

FACES OF LOVE

Milton Berle once quipped that "all the world loves a lover --
except people who are waiting to use the phone."

Love has many faces. The faces we see so often are ones of
infatuation and romance. We speak of "falling in love" and feel,
too, as if we are in free fall. But the face of love I appreciate
the most is not romance, as much as I am drawn to it, but one I
can always count on to be there. It is the face of devotion.

I see that face in the couple who were engaging in a dinner time
disagreement. To the children's amazement, their father jumped up
from the table, grabbed two sheets of paper, and said to his
wife, "Let's make a list of everything we don't like
about each other." (I don't recommend the technique as an example
of healthy conflict management. But please finish the story....)

She agreed and proceeded to write. He, meanwhile, sat and
glowered. She looked up and he began to write. When she continued
listing complaints, he stared across the table at her. Again,
when she looked up he put pen to paper and continued writing. He
stopped to watch her, and every time she caught his eye, he wrote
again.

They finally finished. "Let's exchange complaints," he said. They
gave each other their lists.

She glanced at his sheet and pleaded, "Give mine back!" All down
his sheet he had written: "I love you, I love you, I love you."
Their children have always remembered that moment with humor and
fondness.

As much as I enjoy romance, it's an unwavering devotion that I
need the most. I need to know that love which says, "I will be
with you through it all." It is a face which can often be seen on
parents and grandparents, on spouses, and even on very good
friends. And it is a face which, when I gaze closely enough, I
can see in it something of the face of God.

If you haven't noticed that face lately, look closely. You might

1- Of course, the most obvious one is : I will be committed to one person- unless a different commitment is made by both partners due to unforeseen and unavoidable conditions.

2- I will deeply respect my lover. The latest research in psychology has found that disdain is THE relationship killer! (No surprise there...)

3- I will help my partner grow into his/her most happy, fulfilled self!

4- Each time I criticize my partner, I will have the courage to look into myself, honestly searching
for the same trait that irritates me about him/her. This usually occurs in a different arena of life. This introspection will often lead you (surprisingly) to recognize that you do indeed possess the same trait. Therefore, you cannot throw a stone. You will reach a state of compassion: "Like me, my partner does the best he/she can with the conditioning he/she has incurred in life."

5- I will do whatever it takes to keep and develop the trust of my partner. Trust is the foundation of a relationship. One must do anything it takes to maintain that trust.

6- I will be willing to grow and change when conflicts and challenges arise. Difficulty always rears its head at some point. The couples who are able to grow... through some inner work... (together, not just one of them) will enjoy longevity of togetherness.

7- I take full responsibility for my own happiness. I will do what I need to do to find inner peace and joy; I will not require my partner to do that for me.

8- I will let him/her be free to find his/her happiness also, as long as his/her activities are respectful of me as the other committed partner.

9- I will accept my partner fully, including every "flaw", and stop wishing for him/her to change. When any shortcoming of your partner triggers irritation for you, there two choices: either do your inner work and come to fully accept him/her, or respectfully leave the relationship. People are miserable when they absolutely try to make things work by hoping that their partner will change. They are in total misalignment as they entertain this notion.

10- I will continue growing and learning so that I evolve into an ever-interesting and multi-faceted individual who has an abundance to offer and share. You will prevent boredom by reinventing your life periodically and preserving the interest and sizzle that began the relationship initially.

If you observe closely, all of these commitments are in fact based on self-love and on unconditional love. When you learn to love in both these ways, you will automatically support your partner in their own growth and never hinder him/her. Nowadays, Bride-to-be has the option to whether buy or rent their gown. If we talk about practicality, renting is the best option. Brides need not pay expensive gowns only to keep them in later. The Entourage

In formulating and finalizing the entourage, both of you must find time and spare at least half a day to sit down and go over it. Here in the Philippines, it has been a tradition that family members of both sides will be included in the list or else, one will get offended for haven't been invited to be one of the entourage. In a simple talk, it should be equal for both sides.
1. For Catholic Weddings, decide on the priest who will solemnize your marriage. For n0n-Catholics, decide on the pastor, judge or mayor who will do it.

2. Principal Sponsors. Decide on how many sponsors or ninongs and ninangs you will get. As much as possible, choose those who are most likely to attend the celebration. It is not nice to see that one of the sponsors is walking down the aisle alone.

3. Secondary Sponsors. Some couples preferred their married friends to be one of the sponsors but it is not necessary though.

4. Maid of Honor. She is usually the bride's single sister or bestfriend
Matron of Honor. She is usually the bride's married sister or bestfriend or anybody closest to her.

5. Best Man. Usually a brother or the bestfriend of the groom. Some preferred a bachelor friend.

6. Bridesmaids. Most of the time, they are from the bride's relative and friends but if the groom has a sister who is not married, she can also be one of the bridesmaid.

7. Groomsmen. They are the bridesmaids' partner. Maybe a relative or friend of the groom and also the bride.

8. Flower Girls and Bearers. They can be taken from both sides. Be sure that they are old enough to walk down the aisle alone and can f0llow instructions.

Every couple has the option to hire a coordinator or planner or plan the wedding by themselves. The advantages of hiring one is that the couple will be free of the responsibilities needed in the preparation, they are free from the stress brought about in the planning and preparation stages. In the contrary, one of the disadvantages in hiring a coordinator/planner is that it is expensive because you are paying for their expertise, connection to the suppliers and the supplies itself are quite expensive.
When planning the wedding by yourselves, one can cut on the expenses for the expertise of the coordinator plus you can look for direct suppliers of wedding items which i believe is a lot cheaper. In addition, you can decide on the go-about of your big day with some personal touch on it. On the other hand, planning your wedding can also be very stressful and might even cause commotion between the two of you along the planning and preparation process.
So those who are planning to get married, decide on what best suits you and your partner and from that point, work on it! Good Luck!

In Choosing a Color Motif depends on the couple's preferences. Some would opt to choose the latest or the trendiest color at present while other would choose a color that would match the season like for examples is a summer wedding, colors yellow, orange and fire red are usually the choice. Red

It doesn't have to be fire engine red to be bold. Red in all it's forms is a color that makes a statement. If you are having a holiday wedding, the traditional Christmas or Valentine's red might be an economical choice, as your reception location may already have decorations using this color that you can "borrow" for you wedding.

If you prefer red in its subtler permutations, like burgundy, maroon and other deep red colors, an evening wedding or fall theme wedding would make these shades a natural. Winter Theme Weddings

For winter theme weddings, snow white, platinum and cranberry look magical. Add touches of deep berry colors to your accessories and drape the bridesmaids in thick , dark red velvet shawls.
